Independence Day - Refugees have learned another lesson

 With the occasion of commemoration of the Independence Day of Republic of Moldova, from the initiative of the Charity Center for refugees in collaboration with the Society for Refugees, Bureau of Migration and Asylum of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with the support of UNHCR in Moldova, on 26 august, in the Accommodation Center for asylum seekers was organized a Round Table REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA INDEPENDENCE AT THOSE 20 YEARS.
A communication on this topic was presented by the writer Dumitru Maxim, superior university lecturer, and master in journalism, which made a foray into the medieval and modern history of Moldova and noted the importance of the social movements during “80 – “90, during which, together with his colleagues was directly involved in organizing several events with international resonance.
In his speech Mr. Igor Prodan, Chief of the Accommodation Center for asylum seekers has drawn attention to the significance of the Independence Day for the Moldovan citizens and congratulated the new citizens of the Republic of Moldova, among the refugees, on this occasion. It’s good to work together at the prosperity of our country and to be worthy of the doings of our predecessors who have sacrificed for the good and prosperity of their descendants.
This Round Table aims to inform the asylum seekers and refugees, who, in fond, are originate from different regions of the world, on our history, so at the request, to integrate in the local society not just formal, but also thanked to the fact that they have the necessary knowledge about their new country, the people that lived here hundreds of years ago, their traditions and customs – said Prodan.
Mr. Djavid Paknehad, Charity Center for Refugee President, thanked to all participants at the Round Table, and along with the asylum seeker and refugees, thanked for the interesting communicate which refreshed my knowledge about the modern history of my country, but mostly I learned new from the past of this land and people who lived here and fought for national ideals from ancient times.
The Round Table was also assisted by the band of artists of the Circus without borders from France, which came to the Accommodation Center with a rich artistic and funny program, and in the end everyone was served with sweets and refreshments.
