Lasting partnership in protecting human rights

On December 8, current, in the Ceremonies hall of the Nationalities Palace, Ethnic Relations Bureau of Moldovan Republic, in partnership with the Parliamentary advocates Institute– Human Rights Center in Republic of Moldova and NGOs “Plai infloritor”, has organized the event “Lasting partnership in protecting human rights”, dedicated to the national day of human rights, celebrated annually by the international community on 10 December.

The organizers have thanked the associations and participants present at the event for the assumed commitment and for the promotion, through this event, of human rights and talents of people with disabilities.

For the first time in Moldova was awarded the Honorary Prize for the Moldovan Ombudsman the association “Special Olympic” for merits in the respect and protection of human rights.

Anatol Munteanu, parliamentary advocate, Director of the Human Rights Center, said that this event has a positive aspect from the point of view of the energy it carried, as a social phenomenon that has a message of training and respecting human rights, of awareness the population as a whole. All people have equal rights, especially of not being discriminated against; through this event we addressed to the society with the impulse of commitment them in the respect and promotion of human rights.       

Mrs. Alexandra Danilencu, the president of the association “Special Olympic” (department for people and children with disabilities) thanked the organizers for the invitation and collaboration, mentioning that this event is a great plus in the cooperation and achievement of cultural events dedicated to persons with disabilities, some of whom received awards and certificates of merit from  the organizers.

In the end took place a grand charity show for all young people with disabilities and was presented the charity show “Tear” (“Lacrima”), performed by the “Studio Geneza Art” Theater. The show was directed by the actress Daniela Burlaca, after the Grigore Vieru poems.
